VIAVI Mobile Tech serves as an application designed to enhance technician productivity by automating synchronizations with StrataSync, specifically for VIAVI test instruments. One of its key features is the automatic backing up of test results to the cloud, ensuring that important data is securely stored and readily accessible. Additionally, the app allows for the deployment of new limit plans and configurations directly to individual technicians from StrataSync.

The functionality of the application is further enhanced by incorporating geolocation data, which helps to link technician activities with customer locations, thereby improving service efficiency. A built-in File Manager facilitates the downloading of test reports from the instrument, allowing users to share these documents with other mobile applications, including email.

Another notable feature is the ability to share SmartAccess Anywhere codes via SMS and email, streamlining communication. Users can also access a repository of up-to-date manuals, quick cards, training videos, and technical support on demand directly within the app.

It is important to note that the use of VIAVI Mobile Tech necessitates a separate purchase of Mobile Tech-enabled test instruments from VIAVI. Certain features within the app are dependent on specific test instruments. Currently supported instruments include:
